observed on back, extremities, and chest. Lipoma is more commonly
observed in age group of 40-60 years. Single Lipoma is more commonly
seen in women and multiple Lipomas (Lipomatosis) more common in men.
Remarks:
Often, treatment of a lipoma is not necessary, unless the
tumor becomes painful or restricts movement. People opt for
treatment largely for cosmetic reasons.
Lipoma is a true surgical condition as medicines cannot
dissolve the accumulated fat. Hence surgical removal is the
mainstay management for Lipoma. If they do not harm you,
they are better not disturbed surgically.
